Hard sunshade cover for container
Summer is coming, the outdoor temperature reaches +30°C, and your container stands in an open area under direct sunlight. As a rule, insulation on second-hand containers is far from ideal and no longer meets the manufacturer’s original specifications. This typically leads to increased load on the refrigeration system, longer operating time to maintain proper temperature, and higher electricity costs.
To partially offset these drawbacks, a sun-protection “cream screen” specially designed for a 40-foot container has appeared on the market. Essentially, it is a familiar car sunshade, but manufactured exactly to container dimensions.
The cover is very easy to install, fully encloses the container, and through specially designed access windows (with Velcro fasteners) allows access to the refrigeration unit and container doors.
The covering material is PVC film with a double-sided reflective coating. Air-filled cells are embedded into the film, providing additional thermal insulation. Despite its large size, when folded the cover takes up minimal space.
