Tank container T11 — is a special IMO1/ISO 1496-3 standard tank container designed for temporary storage and transportation of liquid cargoes under working pressure up to 4 bar, including food liquids, chemical products and certain categories of hazardous substances.
The T11 tank container is in demand in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, food and agricultural industries for the import and export of products by road, rail and sea transport.
Technical characteristics of T11 tank containers
Structurally, the T11 tank container consists of a strong welded ISO frame of standard 20-foot format, inside which a cylindrical tank with a shell and two elliptical bottoms is rigidly fixed.
The container is made of AISI 316 stainless steel 4.8 mm thick (strength equivalent to 6 mm carbon steel) which has high resistance to corrosion and aggressive environments. Product loading is carried out through an upper manhole with a diameter of 500 mm, which is closed with a lid on 6 or 8 bolts. Cargo unloading can be done by gravity or under pressure through a bottom discharge valve. To relieve excess pressure, the T11 tank container is equipped with safety valves.

To maintain the required viscosity or temperature of the product during transportation, the T11 tank can be additionally equipped with thermal insulation and an electric or steam heating system. By individual agreement with the customer, equipment for monitoring the parameters of the transported product, for example, a liquid level indicator (measuring rod), can be additionally installed.
T11 tank container: advantages

T11 containers can be used for transporting household chemicals, alcohol-containing liquids, acids, alkalis, paints and varnishes, diesel fuel, gasoline, industrial oils, fuel oil, bitumen and other types of liquid cargoes of hazard classes 3, 5, 6.1, 8, 9 according to IMO 1 category (International Maritime Organization).
