Tank container T4 — is a special ISO container designed for the safe transportation and storage of liquid cargo, including petroleum products, as well as certain types of mildly aggressive chemicals and food liquids, provided the appropriate permits are available. Tank containers T4 are used in multimodal transport by road, rail, and sea.
Technical specifications of T4 tank containers
The T4 tank container consists of an AISI316 stainless steel tank built into a rigid metal ISO frame, of 20-foot size. Depending on the purpose, the container may be equipped with thermal insulation, a heating system (steam or electric), additional fittings, and equipment for monitoring operating parameters.
Liquids are discharged using a bottom discharge device or a top unloading valve. To ensure safe operation, the design includes safety elements for pressure control.
