Adapting a refrigerated sea container for food production
A company engaged in the production and storage of food products contacted us.
The client had a standard marine refrigerated container with a T-shaped aluminum floor designed for the even distribution of cold air under pallets. However, this design was not suitable for the daily business operations.
The ribbed floor caused inconvenience when moving trolleys, pallet jacks and other wheeled equipment that is actively used in production.
Finding a solution
We analyzed the operating conditions and all the client’s requirements for the container and offered an optimal solution — without losing its functionality.
It was decided to install aluminum sheets over the T-profile. This made it possible to create a flat and durable surface for safe and unobstructed movement of equipment. To maintain the efficiency of the refrigeration unit and ensure proper airflow inside the container, perforation was made in the sheets.

Result
The floor surface became suitable for use in industrial environments, and the air continues to flow freely through the floor channels, ensuring stable temperature and storage quality.
This project demonstrates how a standard reefer container can be adapted to meet specific business needs without losing its key technical characteristics.
