Structurally, the open-top container consists of a sturdy frame made of Corten steel. Unlike a Hard Top container with a rigid roof on bolted connections, the top of the OPEN TOP container is closed with a removable waterproof canvas tarpaulin. Depending on the logistics route, the tarpaulin can be sealed to ensure the safety of the contents during transportation.

The side walls and ceiling are made of corrugated low-alloy steel, and the floor is made of sturdy plywood 28 mm thick. Double doors with locking rods and a rubber gasket around the perimeter ensure cargo safety and security during transit. A removable transverse beam is provided above the doorway, which can be dismantled when necessary for crane loading of long and non-standard cargo.

Top-loading containers comply with international ISO requirements and can be used in multimodal transportation by road, rail, and sea.
