What Is Included in Blast Freezer Container Maintenance
Professional maintenance of blast freezer containers begins with an inspection process, which includes:
- refrigeration unit diagnostics — checking the operation of the compressor, condenser, and evaporator, monitoring the refrigerant level in the system, and inspecting electrical and automation components;
- container body inspection — checking door sealing gaskets, locking mechanisms, and insulation panels;
- temperature control — inspection and adjustment of sensors and controllers to maintain the required temperature conditions.
Based on the diagnostic results, an inspection report is prepared with a list of required works. After approval, sanitary and hygienic procedures are carried out — washing and disinfection of internal surfaces, floors, and pallets from residues of transported products, and, if necessary, partial or major repairs are performed.
All freezer container maintenance works are carried out at the GCS technical facility in Odesa. Maintenance is provided for 10-, 20-, and 40-foot containers of various types used for freezing meat, fish, vegetables, and berries.
During the maintenance period, Global Container Service can provide a blast freezer container for rent to avoid operational downtime. Temporary container storage services are also available.
