Aluminum Floor Installation

Marine reefer containers are very often used as stationary cold storage units for food products. Such refrigerated warehouses can be used both in large industrial facilities and small businesses.

The storage process depends on the type of goods, cargo volume, stacking method, and the frequency of loading and unloading operations. If loading and unloading are performed manually or by forklift, the T-floor structure of the container allows smooth operation. However, in some cases, wheeled carts or hydraulic pallet trucks are used for convenience and workflow optimization. The floor structure of the container can make it difficult to use narrow-wheel equipment.

This issue can be solved in a relatively simple and cost-effective way. Solid aluminum sheets are installed on the container floor, creating a completely flat surface and allowing any type of handling equipment to operate safely without the risk of wheels getting stuck between the floor channels.

However, simply placing aluminum sheets on the floor would not be practical, as it would block the airflow moving along the floor of the container, which is essential for cooling the cargo evenly from all sides. Therefore, numerous holes are drilled in the aluminum sheets, allowing air supplied by the refrigeration unit to circulate evenly around all stored cargo.
