QUEST reefer container energy savings

Change in power consumption of reefer containers with QUEST software installed

QUEST software was developed to reduce the electrical consumption of the unit when the temperature range fluctuates between -1 and +30°C (30–86°F). Energy savings are achieved by regulating the evaporator fan speed as well as compressor operating time.

If the temperature setpoint Tsup is within -1 to +15°C (30–59°F), the deviation may vary from -2 to +1°C (28–34°F). If Tsup is between +15 and +30°C (30–86°F), the deviation ranges from -4 to +1°C (25–34°F), depending on the set value.

The QUEST program can be manually turned off if necessary. To activate it, use the arrow keys to select “O02 QUEST” and press ENTER. Then press “AUTO” to enable energy-saving mode. To disable it, simply select “OFF”.
