Student Visit from the Faculty of Low-Temperature Engineering and Engineering Mechanics

Today, students of group EN 111 visited the company GCS — Global Container Service as part of their academic internship.

The company’s CEO, Serhii Luzhanskyi, spoke about the company’s activities, noting that GCS is an official dealer of all major global manufacturers of reefer containers: Carrier, Daikin, StarCool, and Thermo King. He also emphasized that the company’s partners include leading international shipping lines such as CMA CGM, OOCL, ZIM, MOL, CHINA SHIPPING, and others.

GCS is also trusted by major Ukrainian companies, including Myronivsky Hliboproduct (TM ‘Nasha Riaba’), Agro-ROS, Brovary Poultry Farm (TM ‘Indelyka’) and others.

Chief engineer Yurii Lysyi provided students with a detailed and professional explanation of the structure of reefer containers and their refrigeration systems of various types. Students visited a training classroom where company employees improve their practical skills and conduct training for those who wish to become reefer container mechanics. The students also participated in testing reefer container units during their acceptance at the terminal. After just one semester of study, they were able to see one of the most promising places for their future employment.
