PTI Diagnostics before Port Launch
GCS provides Reefer PreTrip (PTI) services for shipping and container lines.
Reefer diagnostics according to the submitted request can be carried out both at the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, as well as at GCS specialized depots located in Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro.

A shipping line representative can request PTI through their “Account” on our website: http://pti.gcs-reefer.com/, by email at [email protected], or by phone at +380 (93) 101-55-55.
A technical specialist will perform PTI within one hour after receiving your request. Depending on the submitted request, the reefer mechanic performs either a short (S.PTI) or full (F.PTI) inspection of the refrigeration unit:
- Short PTI: (30–70 minutes) operational check of the following components: display, curtains, condenser motor, evaporator motors, temperature sensors, compressor;
- Full PTI: (2.5–4.5 hours) includes Short PTI, plus high-pressure relay inspection and refrigeration unit testing under different temperature conditions (0, +25, -17.8°C).

Container units undergo additional reefer mechanical inspection for IHS:
- Measurement of current on motor windings: compressor, evaporator (high / low speed), condenser, and heating element using an ammeter;
- Insulation resistance testing of the compressor, evaporator, condenser, and heating element using a megohmmeter to ensure there is no breakdown to the frame;
- Refrigerant discharge / suction pressure in the compressor;
- Freon level in the system and compressor oil level;
- Inspection of cooling pipelines for damage;
- Checking for abnormal noise in compressors and motors.

After re-inspection, the client receives an email confirming the PTI completion. In the personal account, you can download:
1) refrigeration unit inspection report confirming PTI completion and reefer operability;
2) PTI Report including:
- condition of the refrigeration unit and all components after visual inspection;
- current and resistance indicators on compressor, condenser, evaporator motor windings, and tubular heating element;
- refrigeration unit parameters: temperature, humidity, and ventilation.
3) Photos of ventilation and refrigeration cabinets with branded stickers.
