Carrying out pre-trip PTI diagnostics at the port

GCS provides Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) services for refrigerated containers for shipping and freight forwarding companies.

Reefer diagnostics, according to the submitted request, can be carried out both at the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, as well as at GCS specialized depots located in Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro.

A representative of the shipping company can request PTI through their "Personal Account", by email at [email protected], or by phone at +380 (93) 101-55-55.

A reefer technician is dispatched for PTI within one hour after receiving the request.

According to the request, the reefer technician performs either a short (S.PTI) or full (F.PTI) refrigerator inspection:

• Short PTI: (30–70 minutes) operational check of the following units: display, curtains, condenser motor, evaporator motors, temperature sensors, compressor;
• Full PTI: (2.5–4.5 hours) includes Short PTI, plus inspection of the high-pressure relay and refrigerator testing under different temperature modes (0, +25, -17.8°C).

Additional reefer container inspection during PTI includes:

• Measurement of current on electric motor windings: compressor, evaporator (high/low speed), condenser, and heaters using an ammeter;
• Insulation resistance testing of compressor, evaporator, condenser motors, and heaters using a megohmmeter to check for current leakage to the корпус;
• Refrigerant discharge/suction pressure in the compressor;
• Freon level in the system and compressor oil condition.

Inspection of refrigeration circuit pipelines for possible damage.

Checking for abnormal noises in the compressor and motors.

• Visual inspection for oil stains.

After the inspection, the Client receives an email notification. In the personal account, the following files are available for download:

1. Reefer data export confirming PTI completion and refrigerator operational status;
2. PTI report containing:
   • condition of the refrigerator and all units after visual inspection by the reefer technician;
   • compliance of current and resistance indicators on compressor, condenser, evaporator motor windings, and heating elements;
   • configured refrigerator parameters: temperature, humidity, and ventilation.
3. Sealing of ventilation and refrigerator control cabinet with branded stickers.
